BAKERY ARTIGIANALE A LONDRA – GAILS
There are so many coffee shops and bakeries in London, and some times it is pretty hard to find a very quality one. Let me tell you, shortly, about GAILS. They are a very good quality Bakery and Coffee Shop, in London, and I strongly advice you to go and have of their pastry or a Mince Pie (if you visit London over Christmas!)
From Their Website:
“We believe everybody deserves to enjoy good bread every single day. That’s why we bake sourdough for neighbourhoods in and around London — insisting on the finest ingredients, tending to our decades-old starters, and following traditional methods passed down over hundreds of years. We bake by hand with natural ingredients, and whilst we are ordinary people, we want to make extraordinary things. We want to play our part to bring humanity back into the food world, back to local communities. We can’t imagine doing anything more gratifying than baking our, and your, bread.”

From Their Website:
“Our story began in the 1990s when Gail Mejia brought the best bakers in town together to bake for London’s top chefs. Our wholesale business, The Bread Factory, which was named ironically because it has always exclusively specialised in handmade, traditional artisan baking, continues to thrive, serving top restaurants and discerning customers.
Our first GAIL’s bakery opened in London’s Hampstead High Street in 2005. Today, we have 50 bakeries in neighbourhoods in and around London. We bake fresh, handmade bread, pastries and cakes every day, served with our house blend coffee, and we take great pleasure in using the best ingredients we can find to compliment them with seasonal breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas”

I love going to gails for a coffee break and also when I need to work on my laptop. My favourite one is the one located in Exmouth market, but of course you can try all the others too, same quality 🙂
Most of their good is baked in the in-house kitchen, or baked in their main Bakery: the Bread Factory, which makes most of Gails products.
I love their Scones, and the price is pretty good too! Also, try their Cinnamon Roll, the Berry & Cream Pastry and the Cheese Straw! I had brunch at Gails too and the selection i pretty good, avocado on toast but also eggs and bacon in a roll. What else 🙂
Something else I truly love from GAILS? Their Ham & Cheese Toastie. Great quality ham, cheddar and a sruper tasty mustard-butter in it. Delicious !
Have you been to GAILS? Did you like it? 🙂
